Mama Fu’s Asian House will unveil its newest store on Aug. 25, 2017 with a ribbon cutting ceremony at the latest Temple, Texas location. This will be Mama Fu’s first restaurant location in the area. The Mama Fu’s team will celebrate with members of the community and distinguished guests by hosting a formal ribbon cutting ceremony with community leaders – which will include speeches from the Mama Fu’s team. Following the ceremony, attendees will get the opportunity to go inside the new restaurant and experience the taste of Asian comfort food.

Save the date! August 19 and 20 at the Mayborn Civic & Convention Center – Come to the 2nd annual Transcontinental Art Fair! Due to construction at the museum, we will be hosting this year’s Art Fair inside the Main Hall at the beautiful Frank W. Mayborn Civic & Convention Center located at 3303 N. 3rd St., Temple Texas.
Stop by August 19th from 10:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m. and Sunday, August 20th from 11:00 p.m. – 4:00 p.m. as nationally recognized artists from all around Texas sell their works. Art lovers will find a great mix of original oil and acrylic paintings, prints, photography, mixed media, woodcrafts, jewelry, leather goods, ceramics, and more! Come explore 80 booths of great art!
Attendance to the art fair is free. Art and food are purchased on your own. There will also be a cash bar with beer and wine.

Dream House Raffle is a raffle where we are raffling off a house and nine other prizes.
The Kings of Cuisine event is a cooking competition. Our chefs will compete in the following five categories: side dish, appetizer, main dish, deserts, and cocktails. The event is open to the public, and the public chooses the winner.
About the walk:
The walk is a non-competitive 5k with a shorter turnaround point for those who don't want to complete the full 2.5 miles.

Held annually, the Alzheimer's Association Walk to End Alzheimer’s® is the world’s largest event to raise awareness and funds for Alzheimer’s care, support and research. This inspiring event calls on participants of all ages and abilities to join the fight against the disease!
When you participate in Walk, your fundraising dollars fuel our mission, and your participation in the event helps to change the level of Alzheimer’s awareness in your community. The Alzheimer’s Association provides free, easy-to-use tools and staff support to help participants reach their fundraising goal. This course includes understanding the laws that govern pharmacy (Whether federal or state-mandated), prepare and distribute medications, define medical and pharmaceutical terms and common abbreviations, understand pharmacology of medications in relation to the anatomy affected, and perform pharmaceutical calculations.
Medical Assistants can perform a variety of skilled administrative and clinical tasks. This program prepares students to perform the following skills: prepare exam rooms and interview patients, measure and record vital signs, administer injections, as well as topical or oral medications, and perform venipuncture and point-of-care testing
